'The "Bri" Sides': Week 4
This week I’ve decided to release “Please Me”… which admittedly took a bit of a push. I wrote this song out in California with Ron Aniello. He’s an incredible producer and a blast to work with. This song was a ton of fun to write; perhaps, because it was a bit out of character for me.

Earlier this month I was a patient in this hospital. Tonight, thanks to @musiciansoncall I was able to play for patients. Grateful.

Recently I was asked about the songwriting process. Sometimes, I will hear a melody and the lyrics will flow almost as an afterthought. The words fall from my mind and onto the scales with such ease that it is hard to imagine that they had ever existed apart. At other times, lyrics will echo in my head for days waiting for a perfect melody to breath life into them.
